Kisan Samman Nidhi is an ambitious scheme of the Indian government. This scheme provides financial help to small and marginal farmers. Only those farmers can join this scheme which has agricultural land less than 2 hectares. Under this scheme, farmers will get 6 thousand rupees annually.

Which are given to them in three installments of 2 thousand after every four months. Under this scheme, the amount will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of farmers.

When was Kisan Samman Nidhi was started?

Kisan Samman Nidhi was announced in February 2018. And this scheme was implemented on the 1st of December 2018. The first installment of this was also given on 1st December 2018.
What provisions are made under this scheme for farmers
Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, farmers which have agricultural land less than 2 hectares means small and marginal farmers can be the beneficiaries. Under this scheme, farmers will get an amount of 6 thousand rupees every year. Which will be given to them in three installments of 2 thousand each after every four months.

How to apply in Kisan Samman Nidhi

Farmers can apply in this scheme through the patwari of their village, revenue officer, or nominated officer or agency. With this, they also can apply online. Farmers can register themselves through their nearest common service center. They also can register themselves via Kisan Portal’s farmer’s corner.
