Introduction of Clean India Mission 2023
The current national sanitation mission was launched by our prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014 at Rajghat. This mission was launched for five years only. This mission aims to make India a clean and green country before Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary because it was his dream to make India a clean and green country.
The main aims of this scheme are to make India free from open defecate, reducing pollution and cleaning the rivers of our country and with this make people aware about sanitation. So they can live a long and healthy life.
Sanitation has a very deep relation with health and only healthy citizens can build an advanced nation. Our prime minister starts this mission with these things in his mind so that our country can be a healthy and advanced nation.
Why our country needed a national sanitation mission. As we all know that our country is a developing nation and running on the path of progress. And if it wants to go smoothly on this track then it has to improve its health service sector.

Clean India Mission Rural
As you can see that it mentions rural so you can easily think that it works in rural areas. maintaining sanitation and planting trees to minimizing pollution are its main works. making toilets in rural areas and encouraging peoples for using them. other than this maintaining waste and giving employment to people through this.
Clean India Mission Urban
As you all can assume through its name that this mission is related to urban areas. and this mission maintains waste and cleaning the garbage spread on the roads in urban areas. solving sewage problems and making peoples aware of cleanliness are the main points of this mission.
Clean school Mission
The clean school mission runs in the schools of India. And in the real sense, this is the oxygen of the clean India mission. because it runs by the children and they are the future of our country. and if they learn about sanitation at an early age this will bring an important place of sanitation in our society. which is an indication of a developed society.
Hardships against National Sanitation Mission
Making people aware of sanitation is the first problem against this mission because in our country most people are careless about cleanliness. This is the reason why open defecate is a common thing in India especially in rural areas where people do not refer to use toilets.
Talking about urban areas mentality of the people is not different from rural areas. They threw garbage bags here and there and thinks that cleaning the city is a municipality job, not theirs. The biggest problem against this mission is to make people aware of their duties for sanitation.
Do You Know : What is Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana
Now talking about the solution the only solution for this is to make people aware of sanitation’s importance and its benefits. The government gives help for building toilets in rural areas and making peoples aware of using them. And other than these making people aware about planting trees and its benefits.
With this in urban areas govt tries to spread awareness in citizens for cleaning their cities. All these efforts are done by the government for easing hardships against this mission and seeking people’s support for it. And if this hard work pays off then our country will be a healthy, wealthy, and developed nation.
