The INSPIRE Scholarship is also known as the “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research”. What is the INSPIRE Scholarship?

The Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research or the INSPIRE Scholarship 2022 for higher education is an initiative for all students. To all the students who want to pursue their careers in the field of technology and science, the Central Government of India has taken this step to support those students through this scholarship.

A lot of students aren’t able to afford further studies due to financial problems in their families. Through the Inspire Scholarship they can focus on their career and achieve their dreams. Not only that this scholarship also provides students who excel in this field some awards and internships as well.

The Inspire Scholarship has basic three components which are first – recognizing the talent, second – providing scholarships for further studies, and third is – all the research opportunities.

The objective of the INSPIRE Scholarship

While financial backup becomes a problem for a lot of students pursuing their careers in higher education. The government has launched a lot of schemes and programs for students and the Inspire Scholarship is also one of them.

For the world of technology and science, backwardness in these fields can be harmful to the country’s development. And that’s why to make students pursue in this field and go for further studies as well this scheme comes in hand. To all the students who are eligible an amount of Rs. 80,000 per annum would be provided.

This scholarship program was launched on 13th November 2018 and at that time a budget of Rs. 1979.25 crores had been allotted. And since then all the students are properly provided with financial assistance.

Benefits of the INSPIRE Scholarship

• To over 10,000 students every year the Central Government provides a college ship of Rs. 80,000 per annum.
• This scholarship is for all those students who want to build their careers in the field of science and technology.
  Along with the scholarship, the government also provides all the students with different awards, internships, fellowships, and scholarships.
• In the college of Rs. 80,000 it consists of Rs. 60,000 for an annual scholarship and Rs. 20,000 for summer time attachment fee of mentorship every year.
• This scholarship does not include any competitive exams for identifying the student’s talent at any level.

Eligibility Criteria

• Here are the eligibility criteria for all the students. If you meet all these points then you are eligible to apply for the Inspire Scholarship.
• The student should be 12th pass from any state or central board of examination in India and should be within the top 1% in the class with aggregate marks.
• The student’s age should be between 17-22 years.
• After 12th he/she must be pursuing B.S./ B.Sc./ M.S./ Int. M.Sc. degree course in any of the recognized universities, colleges, institutes in India.
• All the students who are in the top 1000 rank in JEE of IIT or NEET, AIPMT and currently are pursuing a course in basic or natural science in B.S./ B.Sc./ M.S./ Int. M.Sc.
  All the selected students are under the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana and are also pursuing courses of masters in natural and basic science.
• Also, all the students selected and are scholars of the Jagdish Chandra Bose National Science talent, International Olympiad medalist, National talent search examination.

• Marksheet of class 10th
• Marksheet of class 12th
• Passport size photograph
• The form of endorsement is mandatorily signed by the director of the institute or the Principal/Dean of the college or registrar of the college.
• Eligibility note or Advisory note provided by the central or state board (if any).
• Aadhar card
• Caste certificate
• Photocopy of bank account statement
• Mobile number

Procedure to apply

• First, you’ve to go on the official website of the Department of Science and Technology.
• Then can on the homepage of the website and click on the ‘apply now’ option.
• Then click on the ‘new user register here’ option and the registration form would appear on the screen.
• You will have to fill in all the required information in the form.
  When your form would be successfully registered then you’ll get a confirmation mail on the email id registered and an activation link would appear.
• Then login into the portal with the email id registered and password.
• You’ll have to click on the ‘scholarship’ link there.
• Then click on the ‘apply for scholarship’ option.
• Fill in all the required information with attached and scanned documents.
• And, lastly, click on the ‘submit’ option and you will successfully be registered for the Inspire Scholarship.
