Aikyashree scholarship is a scholarship given by the West Bengal government. Like many other scholarship schemes, this scheme totally depends on the state government. Aikyashree scholarship 2024

Aikyashree scholarship is given by the West Bengal state government. This scholarship is started for the minority students of the state. This scheme was introduced in the 2019-20 financial year by west Bengal minorities development and finance corporation. There are three types of scholarship provided under this scheme.

1. Pre matric scholarship for class Ist to xth.
2. Post matric scholarship for class xith to Ph.D.
3. Merit cum means scholarship (for pursuing technical and professional courses).

Eligibility criteria

Pre matric scholarship and post-matric scholarship

• Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal.
• Applicant must be from minorities community and studying in any government-recognized institute or university or school.
• Any minority student can apply for this scholarship which scores more than 50% marks in the previous class.
• Their family income must not exceed 2 lakh per annum.

Metric cum means scholarship

• Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal.
• Studying in technical/professional courses. 
• Must score 50% in his higher secondary education and graduation. 
• Their family income must not exceed 2.5 lakh rupees per annum.

This scholarship was started by the West Bengal government for minority students. So that they can continue their education in every condition. This scholarship is financial aid to those who want to study further but can’t afford it. The aim of this is to provide education to every bright student.
